Fixed orthodontic treatment with maximum discretion

The most precise tooth straightening, virtually invisible
Fixed orthodontic braces remain the most precise and reliable method of tooth alignment available, particularly for cases involving complex rotations, vertical movements, or significant bite correction that clear aligners cannot fully address.
At Caliora, we offer two discreet fixed brace options — ceramic and lingual — that deliver the full clinical precision of fixed appliances without the visibility of traditional metal brackets. Both systems are planned digitally, and every case is assessed individually by our specialist orthodontist before a system is recommended. The choice between systems is always driven by clinical need, not aesthetics alone.
- Ceramic braces use tooth-coloured or clear brackets bonded to the front surface of teeth — significantly less visible than metal at conversational distance
- Lingual braces are bonded to the inner surface of teeth and completely invisible from the front — the only truly invisible fixed brace system available
- Both systems deliver equivalent clinical precision to metal braces across the full range of orthodontic movements
Ceramic brackets are made from tooth-coloured aluminium oxide or clear polycrystalline ceramic and are the preferred choice for adult patients in client-facing roles who need reliable fixed treatment but cannot use clear aligners. Lingual braces are custom-fabricated to fit each patient's teeth precisely using CAD/CAM technology, bonded to the tongue-facing surface where they remain completely hidden. Most patients find speech normalises within one to two weeks of fitting.
- Ceramic braces available on the upper arch only for maximum aesthetic benefit, with metal on the lower arch where visibility is minimal
- Custom lingual brackets fabricated from patient-specific digital scans for precise, comfortable bracket positioning
- Retainers — fixed and removable — provided on completion of active treatment to maintain the achieved result long term
Every fixed brace case at Caliora begins with a full orthodontic assessment, digital records, and a treatment simulation showing the expected outcome before any brackets are placed. Treatment duration typically ranges from 12 to 24 months depending on case complexity, with regular adjustment appointments throughout.
