Urgent dental care when you need it most

Fast, reliable treatment for dental emergencies
Dental emergencies rarely happen at a convenient time — and the speed with which they are treated directly affects the outcome. Whether you are experiencing severe toothache, a knocked-out tooth, a broken crown, or facial swelling, Caliora provides same-day emergency appointments at all three clinic locations for registered and new patients alike.
Our emergency appointments begin with a focused clinical assessment to identify the cause of the problem, relieve pain or discomfort, and stabilise the situation. Where definitive treatment can be completed at the same visit, we will do so. Where further treatment is required, we arrange a follow-up appointment at the earliest available time and provide clear interim care instructions to manage the situation until then.
- Severe toothache — examination, diagnosis, and immediate pain relief including temporary or permanent treatment where possible
- Dental trauma — assessment of injured teeth, soft tissue, and supporting bone with appropriate emergency stabilisation
- Lost or broken crowns, veneers, or fillings — assessment and re-cementation or temporary restoration to protect the tooth
Knocked-out teeth require the fastest possible response — ideally treatment within 30 to 60 minutes of the injury. If a permanent tooth is knocked out, keep it moist by placing it back in the socket, in milk, or between the cheek and gum, and call the clinic immediately. Do not scrub the root surface. The sooner the tooth is reimplanted and stabilised, the greater the likelihood of long-term survival.
- Dental abscesses and facial swelling — urgent assessment, drainage where indicated, and antibiotic prescription if clinically appropriate
- Broken or displaced orthodontic appliances — emergency adjustment or removal to prevent soft tissue injury
- Post-operative concerns following recent dental procedures — direct access to the treating clinician for assessment and advice
If you are in dental pain or have experienced an injury, call the clinic directly. Same-day emergency slots are held at all three locations each day for exactly these situations. Out-of-hours guidance is available on our contact page.
