A dental crown is the most reliable way to protect and restore a tooth that has been significantly weakened by decay, fracture, or root canal treatment. A bridge uses the same principles to replace one or more missing teeth by anchoring a fixed prosthesis to the teeth on either side of the gap.

At Caliora, all crowns and bridges are fabricated from high-strength ceramic materials — primarily e.max lithium disilicate and zirconia — that combine excellent aesthetics with proven long-term durability. We do not use metal-fused-to-porcelain restorations as standard, as full-ceramic options consistently produce superior aesthetic results and better gum compatibility.

Treatment typically takes two visits. At the first appointment, the tooth is prepared, an intraoral digital impression is taken, and a well-fitting temporary crown is placed to protect the tooth during fabrication. At the second appointment, the final restoration is tried in, adjusted if necessary, and permanently cemented. The entire preparation-to-fit cycle takes two to three weeks for laboratory-fabricated restorations.

For patients who prefer to avoid a second visit, our CEREC CAD/CAM system allows us to design, mill, and fit a ceramic crown in a single appointment for suitable cases.

Bridges are a fixed, non-removable solution for replacing missing teeth. They are permanently cemented in place and function like natural teeth. We assess every bridge case individually and present implant alternatives where appropriate, so you can make a fully informed decision about the best solution for your situation.
